32 Total Runs scored by the LC Lady Lynx softball on Opening Day! The bats were hot on sat as the Lynx rallied for 33 hits against Anoka-Ramsey for the combined 2 game totals. The coaching staff was extremely pleased with the early morning efforts of the girls. They merely got off the plane after a busy travel day and were on the field 4 hours later ready to take care of business.
“We literally went from a month full of gym practices to the dirt in the blink of an eye, and the girls made a very quick transition to the field,” said Head Coach Crystal Wurth. “We had our typical first day jitters and our defense could have been a little more consistent but over all our bats made up for it. Darcie owned the pitching circle and really had a great outing. We are happy that the girls really should us what they can do, we have had high expectations for them since the fall. We are off to a good start.”
